The small-group city tours in Rome, Florence, & Venice are done on foot. For each tour you will be expected to walk about a mile, and you will be standing for most of the duration of the tour.

You will be walking on uneven surfaces, such as cobblestones, so be sure to wear appropriate foot gear to avoid tripping or turning an ankle, especially in ancient structures such as the Colosseum in Rome where modern safety standards do not apply.
