You'll start by flying into Florence, where you're met at the airport by your private transfer driver for a one-hour trip to Siena. Your 5-star hotel for 3 nights is in the heart of this magnificent Medieval city. Within 3 hours of landing in Italy, you can be sitting at a cafe in Siena's Campo, one of Italy's most beautiful public spaces, sipping wine and anticipating your winery visits. On your second day in Italy, your private driver-guide will come to your hotel to take you south from Siena to the Val d'Orcia. There are 2 Tuscan red wines you can sample this day, the Vino Nobile of Montepulciano and the impressive Brunello of Montalcino. It really is a private tour, so you control the pace and the emphasis. If you wish to spend your entire day around Montalcino and its Brunello wines, it's your call. Next day your time is free to spend in Siena. You'll want to visit Italy's Enoteca Nazionale, an amazing collection of the country's best wines you can sample at its cellars located within the city's imposing fortress. On your third day, you'll be transferred to your second Tuscany lodging, again for 3 nights. This will be in a countryside location, for a contrasting experience to the city of Siena. It's a very special luxury hotel, recently opened in the Chianti area northeast of Siena. The following day, you get another private tour, this time focusing on Chianti Classico wines. You'll tour in the area of Radda and Castellina, and again, you control how your time is spent. Your next day is free at your Chianti lodging. You can bask in glorious views, the very best of Tuscany scenery, while walking around or sitting by the pool. There's an indoor pool in addition to an outdoor pool. You don't need to go into town, because your hotel offers great dining. Then comes another private transfer, to the city of Florence to complete your week in Tuscany where you're close to an airport. You'll have 4 nights at a very special luxury lodging in the Chianti countryside. It is also one less day than the Tuscany Honeymoon package, with two lodgings instead of three. You'll start your trip by flying into Florence, where you'll be met by your private transfer driver for the one-hour trip to your hotel. It's a fabulous new country hotel, in the Chianti area just north and east of Siena. We developed this package so that honeymooners can enjoy a great location in the Tuscany countryside and still have all the comforts they need close at hand. You don't need to go into town, because your hotel offers great dining. During your 4 days at this idyllic location, you'll get two days of private Tuscany tours. That means just the two of you and your driver-guide, so you control the pace and the emphasis. If you want to visit wineries, that's your choice. We recommend that you visit two very different parts of central Tuscany. One tour can include the Val d'Orcia, to the south of Siena, where you'll find Pienza, Montalcino and Montepulciano. The other day of touring can focus on the Chianti area, north of Siena, including the towns of Radda and Castellina. Then your transfer driver will pick you up for the drive into Florence, where you will spend your final two nights in Tuscany at a 5-star hotel in the very center of the city, convenient to the best shopping and museums Florence has to offer. Or if you prefer, you can fly into Rome instead, and add a transfer by private vehicle from Rome to Naples. From Naples, your private transfer takes you for your first night either at Sorrento or on the Amalfi Coast. Because luxury accommodations in this area are so much in demand, availability will determine the order of destinations. Your Amalfi Coast lodging for 3 nights will be at Positano or Amalfi. When we know your dates, we'll check availability at several hotels we know and like and let you know which of them can be included. Advance planning is important, because these hotels are booked up far ahead, especially for the month of June. We'll arrange a full-day private excursion along the Amalfi Coast, including a visit to Ravello. The emphasis of this daytrip depends on your preferences as well as where your lodging is located. Your other 3 nights will be spent at Sorrento. While not many miles apart, Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast are located on opposite sides of the Sorrentine Peninsula. They represent contrasting experiences, so it's appropriate and interesting to stay at lodgings in both locations. Sorrento is the transportation hub for the area. You have a great choice of trips you can take from Sorrento by boat or by vehicle. We especially recommend taking a daytrip by boat from Sorrento to the Isle of Capri. You can also visit Ischia by boat. Your package includes a full-day excursion from Sorrento by vehicle, with private driver, to your choice of Pompeii and Herculaneum or Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. You'll finish with a private transfer to the airport at Naples. Or if you wish to fly from Rome, a longer transfer can be arranged. Luxury Lake Como & Venice ~ Three nights in Venice plus 3 nights at Lake Como, in Bellagio. We suggest starting this plan at Lake Como, but we can do it either way, with a flight into Milan or a flight into Venice. If you haven't been to Lake Como, this is the perfect way to see it, from grand hotel with the best location on the lake, the Villa Serbelloni. Bellagio itself is the most popular destination on the lake, and you'll have plenty of time to explore it. But you can also take the boats to nearby attractions, including Varenna, our favorite village on the lake, Villa Carlotta, and Villa Balbianello. To get between Lake Como and Venice, you get a private driver, who picks you up in Bellagio and drives you across northern Italy all the way to Venice, at Piazzale Roma, where you meet with another transfer, this time a private boat, for the final journey along the Grand Canal to your hotel. On your second day in Venice, there's a half-day private walking tour. If you prefer, we can arrange to use the trains between Como and Venice, instead of a private driver. Doing that would save money. You would still get private transfers between the hotels and the train stations. Let us know if you wish to substitute trains for the private driver.
